Using Social Media to Advance Your Career

Program Description: Despite the rapid growth media, misperceptions about these tools are common, especially when it come to leveraging them for professional purposes.  This presentation offers a crash course in using social media to advance your career.  It provides an introduction to LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, outlines the professional uses of these technologies; and discusses how to get started with them.  Also included are pitfalls to watch out for as you embark on your social media efforts.

 

Presented by Tracy Casarrubias, OfficeTeam

Bio:  Tracy Casarrubias graduated from Edgewood College in Madison, WI, an entire academic year early with honors.  She then became an Admissions Counselor at her Alma Mater, increasing their incoming freshman class to a record high.  Tracy is currently a Staffing Manager at Office Team, a division of Robert Half International, the staffing industry leader.
